jujukitten: RIP Maurice Sendak (June 10, 1928 – May 8, 2012). I remember seeing an interview with Maurice Sendak on the Colbert report and seeing someone who wrote a story for children in the way he did with dark tones and significance, gives me happiness. Not everything needs to be happy, bright and lovey dubby. It’s nice to be brought down to reality sometimes. Also seeing his determination and faith in the way he did things was amazing. He had complete conviction and I admire that so much. Lost a great man. RIP
